What to Expect During the Procedure
Most Lumecca treatments take less than 30 minutes. The Lumecca IPL treatment begins with cleansing your skin and applying a topical anesthetic to the treatment area. You’ll also be given protective goggles to wear for the duration of the procedure.
Next, the Lumecca device will be passed over your skin. With each pulse of light, there is a bright flash. Some patients report tingling and/or a sensation of heat as the light energy heats the targeted tissue.

What to Expect After a Lumecca IPL
Immediately following a Lumecca treatment, patients may experience mild erythema (redness) and/or swelling. These side effects are temporary and will resolve within a few days. Your skin will be very sensitive, and you will need to take special care to avoid sun exposure for the first several days after your procedure.
