Meet Brandi
Founder + Family Nurse Practitioner + Aesthetic Injector
I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve been in the beauty and aesthetics industry for more than 13 years, and if I had to sum up my relationship with this work in one sentence, it would probably be this: I was born for it.
I genuinely love every layer of this industry—from the simplest beauty services to the science and precision behind advanced aesthetics and wellness. I care about how someone is greeted when they walk through the door, the experience they have in the treatment room, the conversation at checkout, and all of the little details in between. To me, those details are what turn a business into a place people trust and want to come back to.
My career started in 2012, somewhat ironically, when I decided to stop tanning in UV beds and began looking for a healthier way to feel good about my appearance. What started as an interest in beauty grew into something much bigger.
In the early days, I packed up pop-up equipment and traveled from home to home. Today, BASE has grown into more than 3,000 square feet, an incredible collection of technology and treatments, and—most importantly—a small team of women I am incredibly proud to work alongside.
I never could have imagined all of this when I started.
Beauty, Science + Something More
My curiosity has always driven me. I want to know why something works, how it can work better, and what else there is to learn.
That curiosity eventually took me from certifications in the beauty industry to earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, followed by my Master of Science in Nursing and becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
And I’m still learning.
Over the last several years, my focus has expanded beyond aesthetics into hormones, peptides, functional and root-cause medicine, metabolic health, and the connection between how we look, feel, and function. That evolution has allowed BASE to become something I dreamed about long before I had all the credentials to make it possible—a place where beauty, aesthetics, science, and wellness can truly exist under one roof.
People often ask what originally led me here, and as cliché as it may sound, a lot of it comes back to my mom.
Growing up, I observed her relationship with beauty, confidence, and her own insecurities. She also worked in the medical field, so science and healthcare were never foreign concepts in our home. Add in a couple of childhood accidents that landed me in a plastic surgeon’s chair, a naturally competitive personality, high expectations, and a genuine fascination with science, and somehow it all became the perfect storm.
Looking back, the path makes much more sense than it did while I was living it.
Where You’ll Find Me Now
These days, you’ll find me somewhere between being an owner, provider, injector, student, problem-solver, wife, and mom—sometimes all within the same hour.
Clinically, my work is primarily focused on advanced aesthetics and wellness. I provide injectable treatments including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and biostimulators; laser and energy-based treatments; comprehensive skincare planning; weight-management care; vitamin injections; and an increasingly functional approach to health and wellness.
Technically, I can perform nearly every service at BASE—with the very clear exception of hair. Hair remains a mystery to me, and I am perfectly comfortable leaving that one to the professionals.
As BASE has grown, my role has evolved too. You won’t find me doing as many lashes, brows, waxes, or facials these days. Instead, I’ve been able to grow alongside the business, continuing my education, expanding our medical and wellness offerings, and focusing my clinical time where my training and experience can have the greatest impact.
BASE + The Life Around It
For many years, I poured an enormous amount of myself into building this business. Then life gave me two more things worth building around.
My partner, Brian, is also a business owner, and together we have our daughter, Beverly, and our son, Benjamin. Becoming a mom changed my priorities in ways I couldn’t fully understand beforehand. Since Beverly arrived in 2022, I’ve continually adjusted what it looks like to be present for my family while still being the owner and provider I want to be.
I’m incredibly grateful for the patience my longtime clients have given me as my availability and role have evolved. I know those transitions haven’t always been easy.
I still love this work deeply. I still have big plans for BASE. But these days I joke that I have three babies: BASE and my two human children. All three are growing, all three require a lot of attention, and I love them dearly.
When I’m not at BASE or buried in something new I’ve decided I absolutely need to learn, I’m happiest at home with my family, traveling, spending time with our very large extended family, or finding something fun to do with the kids on the weekend. I love great food and will happily make a trip to Chicago around a restaurant reservation. Brian and I also have an unnecessary amount of fun driving around looking at real estate we have absolutely no intention of buying.

BASE has become so much more than I envisioned when I packed up that first piece of equipment more than a decade ago—and I’m nowhere near finished.
What I’m most proud of isn’t simply the space, the equipment, or the treatments we offer. It’s creating a place where women can feel comfortable asking questions, investing in themselves, learning about their options, and building genuine relationships with the people caring for them.

And if I haven’t had the opportunity to meet you in my chair yet, I hope I will.
